In a midweek face-off, the renowned Nigerian street-pop sensation, Habeeb Badmus, popularly identified as Portable, clinched triumph in the third round of a high-profile celebrity boxing match against the well-known Nollywood actor, Charles Okocha.
Portable and Charles Okocha ultimately settled their differences through a physical showdown, putting an end to the animosity that had originated from alleged contractual disputes. The online feud, sparked by accusations of a N40 million financial wrongdoing, found its resolution within the boxing ring.
In a widely circulated video, the Zazuu Crooner passionately claimed that Okocha had deceived him regarding the money, sending him a significantly smaller amount and violating the terms of their contractual agreement.
In the early hours of Wednesday, the duo made a decisive choice to settle their disputes within the confines of the boxing ring. Heritage Boxing Entertainment gave its approval for the sanctioned bout that took place at Landmark Beach in Victoria Island, Lagos State.
The face-off kicked off after 1 am and unfolded dramatically over an engaging 40-minute duration, spanning three rounds.
Videos capturing the intense fight reveal Portable confidently starting the first round, attired in a matching blue knicker and sleeveless top. Assuming control of the ring, he unleashed a flurry of body jabs on Okocha, who, dressed in a red top and shorts, hit the canvas but promptly rose before the referee could initiate the count.
