Lakers fire Darvin Ham, making major staff changes

To replace Darvin Ham, the Los Angeles Lakers are not content to just appoint a new head coach. ESPN’s Dave McMenamin reports that they are reorganizing the whole staff, including reputable assistant Phil Handy. After working for both Frank Vogel and Ham, Handy won a title with LA in 2020.

Sentimentality is being thrown out the window. The Lakers are eagerly seeking changes after being eliminated by the Denver Nuggets in the NBA Playoffs for the second-straight year. When LeBron James and Anthony Davis are on a team, the mindset is Finals or bust.
