Andy Ruiz Jr. is in a desperate attempt to get Anthony Joshua to agree to a trilogy match.
At one each, the record is in place. In the first fight, which took place at Madison Square Garden, Ruiz defeated Joshua in his American debut. He became the world’s Unified Heavyweight Champion as a result of the shocking victory. There was a rematch. Nevertheless, Ruiz was unsuccessful due to allegations that he did not prepare adequately for the fight. He lost by unanimous decision after being outboxed. There have been rumors ever since about whether they will make things right in a third fight.
Ruiz is getting ready for his August 3 matchup with Jarrell Miller on the Terence Crawford vs. Israil Madrimov event. Ruiz would return to the discussion of the heavyweight division’s biggest bouts with a win. Since defeating Luis Ortiz in 2022, he has not engaged in boxing. Ruiz needs to continue playing at the twilight of his career because he is 34 years old. Matchroom Boxing and the Saudis are assisting with the August 3 show.

I’m back to 100% now. This is just the beginning for me; I want to become serious and win the heavyweight title twice again,” Ruiz declared.
On June 1, Wilder will now take on Zhilei Zhang. The likelihood of a Joshua-Wilder matchup will rise with a Wilder victory. A Joshua-Wilder fight and an uncontested fight will bring in more money. Furthermore, it enhances Joshua’s legacy. Ruiz is now further lower on the hierarchy. Ruiz was given the chance to challenge Wilder for the WBC Interim Heavyweight Title. But Ruiz and Wilder could not agree on terms. In order to keep Ruiz from putting himself in a position to fight WBC Heavyweight Champion Fury, the fight was called off. Ruiz might have lost the opportunity to win the world championship once more in retrospect.
