For the gifted wide receiver Cortez Mills of Homestead, a decision date has been set.

The four-star receiver said on Twitter that he will make an announcement regarding his commitment on July 1. Mills has traveled to Clemson, Florida, LSU, Nebraska, and Oklahoma on five official visits this cycle. One of the five institutions is where the receiver is committed.

During the Red-White matchup, Mills gave Nebraska a chance. The wide receiver, who had visited Lincoln in January, was formerly considered to be a top target for the Huskers and their feelings were believed to be reciprocated. However, as Mills progressed through the recruiting process, other clubs are probably ahead of Nebraska at this point.

Jackson Carpenter and Bryson Hayes have committed to the Huskers as wide receivers thus far in the 2025 cycle.

In addition to waiting to see how things work out with 2025 target Michael Terry III, who also paid a visit for the Red-White game, Nebraska has extended an offer to 2025 receiver Jerome Myles.
