BREAKING: Tom Thibodeau of the Knicks Shares His Game 6 Strategy…more

Tonight marks the sixth playoff game in the current run for the New York Knicks versus the Indiana Pacers.

With a victory tonight over the Pacers, the Knicks would go to their first Eastern Conference Finals since, coincidentally, they defeated Indiana in 2000.

Even though the season is nearing its conclusion, Knicks coach Tom Thibodeau is keeping things simple for his players.

“This game is unrelated to the previous one,” Thibodeau declared. “Just keep your attention on the goal of winning the game. The one thing this squad has excelled at is locking in. Don’t lose sight of it and give it the effort that victory requires. Just maintain your attention.”

The Knicks have proven throughout the series that when they play their brand of basketball, they are hard to beat. Taking control, regardless of what the Pacers are doing, is the key towards winning basketball games in the playoffs.

If the Knicks are capable of putting their entire focus in the 48 minutes on the court, they may head back to New York not needing a Game 7.

Tipoff for tonight’s game is set for 8:30 p.m. ET on ESPN.
