Red Hot Chili Peppers Announce New Album and 2025 World Tour Featuring Classic Lineup and Unreleased Tracks

Fans of the iconic rock band Red Hot Chili Peppers have reason to celebrate, as the band has just announced the release of a new studio album, slated for early 2025. In addition, the band will embark on a massive world tour to support the album, with dates planned across North America, Europe, Australia, and Asia.

The upcoming album, which remains untitled, will feature the band’s classic lineup: Anthony Kiedis on vocals, Flea on bass, Chad Smith on drums, and John Frusciante on guitar. This marks the group’s first major project since their 2022 double album releases, Unlimited Love and Return of the Dream Canteen. Rumors have been circulating that the new record will include both brand-new material and previously unreleased tracks from recording sessions spanning the band’s decades-long career.

“We’ve been writing and jamming a lot over the past few years,” said guitarist John Frusciante in a statement. “This new album has a lot of energy and feels like a natural progression for us, while still keeping that classic Chili Peppers vibe. We’re excited to share it with everyone and get back on the road.”

The 2025 world tour will kick off in Los Angeles, where the band got its start, before heading to major cities such as New York, London, Paris, Tokyo, and Sydney. Fans can expect a setlist packed with hits from the band’s extensive catalog, as well as some surprises. The band hinted that the tour might include live debuts of tracks that have never been played on stage before.

Tickets for the tour will go on sale next month, with pre-sales available for members of the band’s fan club. Special packages, including exclusive merchandise and meet-and-greet opportunities, will also be offered.

The announcement has generated a wave of excitement among fans, with social media lighting up with anticipation. Many are particularly thrilled to see the continued involvement of Frusciante, whose return to the band in 2019 revitalized the group’s sound and creative direction.

As the band approaches the 40th anniversary of its formation in 1983, the Red Hot Chili Peppers show no signs of slowing down. If anything, the new album and tour suggest that the band is entering a new and vibrant chapter of its storied career.
