WR JUSTIN JEFFERSON OF THE VIKINGS ON QB KIRK COUSINS’ LEAVING: “I’M Not Mad at Him”

Superstar wide receiver Justin Jefferson of the Minnesota Vikings has only ever known Kirk Cousins as his starting quarterback during his NFL career. That will alter in 2024 when Cousins signs with the Atlanta Falcons after electing to leave in free agency.

Jefferson revealed earlier this week on The Rich Eisen Show that he was aware Cousins might leave Minnesota if he became a free agency.

“I always knew that Kirk was going to do whatever he needed to do for his business, and I just knew that this wasn’t how he wanted things to be here, particularly with having to pay so many different guys in addition to myself,” the speaker said Jefferson.

Jefferson claims he doesn’t feel strongly about Cousins’ choice and that he also accepts it. He went on, “I’m not at all upset with him for that.” Jefferson clarified that he always tries to be at the top of his game, so it doesn’t matter to him who is starting under center.
