Viral clip of Jean-Clair Todibo shows why he is exactly what Manchester United need amid transfer reports

Reports say that Manchester United wants to sign Jean-Clair Todibo from Nice, and a video that went popular shows what he can do for a team.

Fabrizio Romano says that Erik ten Hag wants to sign the 23-year-old if Harry Maguire leaves Old Trafford this summer.

He moved from Barcelona to Nice in the summer of 2021. Since then, he has been a steady center-back.

He hasn’t played for France’s senior team yet, but he was called up for the qualifiers for the European Championship in March, and he has played in the Champions League.

Todibo didn’t get many chances to play at Barcelona. In two seasons, he only played in four La Liga games, but he did get his first taste of European football at the top level.

In December 2019, he started a group stage game against Inter Milan as part of a three-man central defense. He showed that he was talented and had a lot of promise.

A clip of Jean-Clair Todibo, who Man Utd wants, goes popular.

When the game was played, Barcelona had already won, so manager Ernesto Valverde chose to give young players a chance.

One of the young stars who benefited from this move was Todibo, who was only 19 at the time. One clip showed what the France defender was capable of.

Todibo got the ball with his body turned toward his own goal. He then ran with it and made a turn that sent Inter scorer Lautaro Martinez to the ground.

When Todibo got back up on his feet, he blocked the Argentinian from getting the ball and then showed off his close control skills.

He made a crazy run up the field, past the half-way line, and then passed to Carles Perez on the right side of center with the outside of his foot.

Ten Hag wants his defenders to first and foremost protect, but he also wants them to be calm with the ball.

Since goalie Andre Onana, who was brought in from Inter Milan this summer, plays much more aggressively than his predecessor, David de Gea, it’s clear that the Dutchman has changed how he thinks about tactics, and Todibo could be a great addition.
