Georgia’s highest-rated wide receiver prospect since George Pickens, the Bulldogs are getting one of the nation’s best in Geneva Community (Ill.) wideout Talyn Taylor.
Taylor is a five-star prospect ranked No. 22 overall in the final 2025 On300 rankings on Thursday.
The final edition of the 2025 On300 features 32 five-star prospects, up from 25 in the previous update in November.
Taylor was the top prospect to come out of the state of Illinois in the 2025 cycle, and despite interest from Midwestern powers Notre Dame and Ohio State, he chose to head to the SEC.
Taylor committed to Georgia on June 11 and never looked back, signing with the ‘Dawgs on Dec. 4.
“Georgia is a great place and it is a great program,” Taylor told On3. “Georgia’s message to me has been that they want me and they think I have a special skill set.
They have always made me feel great and I like how they want to use me on the outside and inside.”
He added: “SEC football is different. For me, people always try to tell me that I’m a kid from Illinois, the SEC is a whole different world.
I’m a grinder just like you are. I feel like I can go play wherever in the country. If I grind and stick to me, just keep my head down and grind, I feel like I can take off.”
