LIV Golf event takes chaotic turn as Ian Poulter sends fan hurtling towards bunker

At Friday’s opening round at LIV Golf UK, admirers of Ian Poulter were a little too anxious to get their hands on one of his golf balls. And one of them paid a heavy price for his eagerness when, in front of giggling onlookers, he clumsily collapsed a fence and tumbled towards a bunker.
Majesticks GC co-captain Poulter responded to the protests of onlookers by launching his golf ball in their direction on the ninth hole.

Sadly, the 48-year-old’s throw was not strong enough, stopping just short of the fence they were standing behind. A lot of supporters strained to grab hold of the ball while drinks were seen on the table in the background.
