Joe Burrow discusses how a new talent he picked up in rehab helped him with his wrist injury!

To help him deal with his troublesome wrist and maybe avoid suffering the same ailment again this next NFL season, Joe Burrow has taken up a new hobby.

The Bengals quarterback revealed that he is taking piano lessons in order to aid with his recovery.

By next season, I hope to be quite excellent at that, 27-year-old Burrow told Complex Sports.

“It’s going to be difficult throughout the season, but it’s helped with my wrist rehabilitation, so that’s something I want to get good at.”

During the Week 11 game against the Baltimore Ravens of the previous season, the former No. 1 overall pick tore a ligament in his right wrist. In the 2023 season, Burrow experienced issues with his throwing hand as well.

Joe Burrow, the quarterback for the Bengals, is certain that his wrist will benefit from essential coordination.

But now since he wants to make sure he’s ready to go by fall, he described this year’s offseason as a ‘perfect storm’ and a ‘opportune opportunity’ to combine wrist movements and vital synchronization.

The Bengals host New England on September 8 to kick off the regular season.

After Cincinnati’s minicamp concluded last month, Burrow announced he would keep rehabbing, add more time to his pool time, and keep watching YouTube piano lessons to develop his piano skills.

Additionally, our training staff has experience with this. The coaching staff has already gone through it with me. Thus, we are aware. We are capable of managing it.

However, he added, “I also feel really good about how I’m throwing.”

“So, my current focus is on ensuring that my body is in optimal condition for our first practice on July 24. From there, we will proceed with training camp and the first game.”
