Fans of “Rick and Morty: The Anime” aren’t feeling the first trailer that Adult Swim has released.

The first official trailer for Rick and Morty: The Anime has been released by Adult Swim; it can be seen above.

Directed by Takashi Sano (Tower of God), who previously directed two anime shorts based on the show, “Rick and Morty vs. Genocider” and “Summer Meets God (Rick Meets Evil),” the 10-episode series was first revealed in May of last year.

Sano is “a huge” admirer of the original series, which makes him “the perfect person to give us all this alternate version of this amazing show,” according to Adult Swim president Michael Ouweleen in a news statement.

“Rick relaxes in a pseudo-world between multiverses, Summer helps Space Beth fight the evil Galactic Federation, and Morty falls in love with a mysterious girl who happens to be an atemporal being,” according to the anime series’ story synopsis.
