Cowboys’ QB shares photo of Dak Prescott foot injury update.

Less than three weeks before the start of training camp, Dak Prescott has opted to deliver an update, presumably in response to the clamour about the state of his right foot.

Days after it was revealed that Prescott had a “very mild” foot sprain, he posted the following photo of himself moving around without the aid of a boot. A few days prior, news of the quarterback’s injury surfaced alongside a photograph of the Dallas Cowboys player sporting a boot on his right foot that went viral.

Prescott said on social media, “Just some Boot Boys in Mexico,” making reference to the earlier photo of him donning a boot.

The Cowboys are no strangers to the spotlight, but this offseason has been especially loud. This offseason, the contract disputes involving Prescott, wide receiver CeeDee Lamb, and standout defender Micah Parsons have made headlines in Dallas.

Until Lamb signs a new contract, it is not anticipated that he will attend training camp. The Pro Bowl wide receiver’s fifth-year option is presently set to allow him to play in 2024. Lamb missed the team’s required minicamp, which resulted in fines totaling more than $100,000.

Lamb might sign a new contract shortly, but Parsons and Prescott don’t seem to be getting one anytime soon—at least not this year. Parsons, who has two years remaining on his rookie contract after Dallas selected his fifth-year option, has stated that he is comfortable playing this season with the terms of his present contract. Prescott would undoubtedly prefer a new contract, but it appears like the Cowboys intend to finish the current campaign before considering their quarterback issue.
