In a major recruiting coup, the Alabama Crimson Tide have landed the nation’s top-ranked defensive lineman, Shemar Turner. The 5-star prospect, who had been heavily courted by LSU and Florida State, committed to the Crimson Tide on Monday, choosing to join Kalen DeBoer’s storied program.
Turner, a 6-foot-4, 290-pound defensive lineman from DeSoto, Texas, is widely regarded as one of the top high school players in the country. He is a consensus 5-star recruit and is ranked as the No. 1 defensive lineman prospect in the nation by 247Sports, Rivals, and ESPN.
