Pantera Announce New Album and 2025 World Tour Featuring Classic Lineup and Unreleased Tracks

Legendary heavy metal band Pantera has thrilled fans worldwide by announcing a new album slated for release in early 2025, marking their first studio effort since 2000’s Reinventing the Steel. The album will feature the classic lineup of vocalist Phil Anselmo, bassist Rex Brown, and guitarist Zakk Wylde, who has been performing with the band in place of the late Dimebag Darrell since their reunion tour began. Also joining them is drummer Charlie Benante, stepping in for the late Vinnie Paul, continuing the lineup that has been revitalizing the band’s legacy over recent years.

Pantera’s new record is set to include a mix of brand-new songs alongside several unreleased tracks from the band’s archives, some dating back to the 1990s. Longtime fans can look forward to a blend of the group’s signature groove metal style with some modern elements, as the band seeks to pay homage to their roots while also pushing the genre’s boundaries. The album’s first single is expected to drop in January, giving a taste of what’s to come.

In addition to the album announcement, Pantera has also confirmed a massive 2025 world tour, which will see the band playing in major cities across North America, Europe, South America, and Australia. The tour will kick off in Dallas, Texas, in March, with the band promising a setlist that spans their entire career, including fan favorites like “Walk,” “Cemetery Gates,” and “Cowboys from Hell,” along with new material from the upcoming album.

Rex Brown shared his excitement in a recent interview: “We’ve been working really hard on this record, and it’s been a real journey for all of us. It’s an honor to bring the music back to life and give fans something new to look forward to.”

The new album and tour announcement marks a significant moment for Pantera, as it is the first time in over two decades that the band has released new studio material. Fans have eagerly awaited this return, and the band’s dedication to honoring their legacy while moving forward is expected to make 2025 a monumental year for the metal community.
