Iron Maiden Announce New Album and 2025 World Tour Featuring Classic Lineup and Unreleased Tracks

Iron Maiden, the iconic British heavy metal band, has thrilled fans worldwide with the announcement of a brand-new album and an extensive 2025 world tour. The upcoming album, their first since 2021’s Senjutsu, is said to feature unreleased tracks and will be recorded with the band’s classic lineup, promising a return to the raw energy and sound that defined their early career. The tour, set to kick off in May 2025, will cover over 30 countries, giving Maiden enthusiasts a chance to experience the band’s legendary live performances once again.

In a statement released by the band, frontman Bruce Dickinson expressed his excitement about the upcoming project, stating, “We’ve been working hard in the studio on some songs that never saw the light of day, and they’re finally ready. This new album will be a blend of classic Maiden and some surprises we’re sure the fans will appreciate. It’s going to be epic, and we can’t wait to bring these tracks to life on stage.”

Guitarist Dave Murray added, “It feels great to get back to our roots with the original lineup. We’ve put together a collection of tracks that cover everything from our classic sound to some experimental elements. There are a few surprises in there, and I think fans will be excited to hear some lost gems from the vault.”

The 2025 world tour will feature Iron Maiden’s classic lineup: Bruce Dickinson (vocals), Steve Harris (bass), Adrian Smith (guitar), Dave Murray (guitar), Janick Gers (guitar), and Nicko McBrain (drums). The band will kick off the tour in Europe, with a series of festival headlining slots and arena shows before heading to North America, South America, Asia, and Australia. Each concert will feature a mix of hits, fan favorites, and select new tracks, ensuring a comprehensive Iron Maiden experience.

Notably, the album will include a selection of tracks that were written during various sessions for past albums but never made it onto previous records. These “lost” tracks, some dating back to the early ’80s, have been revisited and re-recorded to match the band’s current sound, while still retaining the essence of their original compositions.

Iron Maiden’s 2025 tour is shaping up to be one of the biggest metal events of the year, with ticket sales expected to be highly competitive. Fans are encouraged to register for pre-sale access through the band’s official website, where dates and venues will be announced in the coming weeks.

This announcement has generated significant buzz within the metal community, with social media platforms lighting up with anticipation and speculation about the new album’s direction. Longtime Iron Maiden fan and podcaster Eddie Trunk shared his enthusiasm on Twitter, saying, “New Iron Maiden album and a world tour with the classic lineup? 2025 can’t come soon enough!”

As Iron Maiden prepare to deliver what promises to be a monumental tour and release, fans are already speculating on potential setlists, which are likely to feature a mix of classic hits like “The Trooper,” “Run to the Hills,” and “Hallowed Be Thy Name,” along with the newly-released material. With decades of history and a legacy that has inspired countless bands, Iron Maiden continues to prove that they are far from slowing down.

Further details on the album title, tracklist, and specific tour dates will be revealed in the coming months.
