Alabama Crimson Tide star safety Malachi Moore has announced his intention to return to Tuscaloosa for his senior season, forgoing the 2025 NFL Draft. Just weeks after declaring his eligibility for the professional league, Moore cited a desire to further develop his skills and leave a lasting legacy at his alma mater as his primary motivations for returning.
“This wasn’t an easy decision,” Moore admitted in a press conference. “The NFL has always been a dream, and I’m incredibly grateful for the opportunity to pursue it. But after careful consideration, I realized there’s still more I want to accomplish here at Alabama.”
Moore’s impact on the Crimson Tide defense has been undeniable. A true freshman starter in 2020, he quickly established himself as a playmaker, earning First-Team All-SEC honors in 2024.
