Breaking: Deion Sanders addresses losing Colorado star for Months after Kansas State game

The Buffaloes’ 31-28 loss over Kansas State on Saturday appeared to be caused by a shoulder injury to Colorado two-way star Travis Hunter in the second quarter. Despite being judged dubious, he did not rejoin the game.

Both Jimmy Horn Jr. and Omarion Miller, two other Buffs wide receivers, as well as head coach Deion Sanders, were questioned about Hunter’s status following the game.

“No, not one,” Sanders said. “I saw Omari in a boot, kind of a cast. I thank God we have everything we need on the second floor here in this wonderful building. But I haven’t gotten an update on those particular young men.

Hopefully they can get back at it, but we’re not going to rush them. Their safety and their health is much more important than this game.”

After exiting the game with what appeared to be an injury, Hunter was spotted returning to the sidelines, raising the possibility that he would play again and assist his team defeat the Wildcats.

Despite his sideline attendance, Coach Prime stated that Hunter was never expected to return to the field.

Sanders remarked, “He was just there to support his team, and he did a good job at it.”

On one play, Hunter was tackled and hurt. After being transported to the locker room by sports training personnel, he was brought back to the sidelines.

After a little while, he did make his way back to the locker room, as ESPN sideline reporter Quint Kessenich said.

In the end, he played 44 staps in all, 21 on defense and 23 on attack. During the game, the Colorado standout caught three catches for a total of 26 yards.

Buffs quarterback Shedeur Sanders completed 34 of 40 passes for 388 yards, three touchdowns, and an interception despite losing a number of receivers. During the defeat, Sanders passed 2,000 passing yards for the season.

Hunter’s status, as well as Horn Jr. and Miller’s statuses, for Week 8’s Big 12 matchup against Arizona remains to be seen.
