The University of Arizona Wildcats’ leading rusher, junior running back, Drake Anderson, has been indefinitely suspended from the team due to a violation of team rules.
The suspension, announced by head coach Jason Brennan, comes as a significant blow to the Wildcats’ offense, which relies heavily on Anderson’s dynamic playmaking abilities.
According to sources within the program, Anderson’s suspension stems from a violation of team rules related to attendance and participation in mandatory team activities.
“Drake understands the expectations and requirements of being a student-athlete at the University of Arizona,” Brennan said. “Unfortunately, he fell short of those expectations.”
