Disaster struck the Minnesota Wild on Wednesday night as star forward Matt Boldy suffered a devastating season-ending injury during their matchup against the Nashville Predators.
With just over 10 minutes remaining in the second period, Boldy collided with Predators defenseman Ryan McDonagh, twisting his knee awkwardly.
Preliminary reports indicate Boldy tore his ACL, requiring surgery and a lengthy rehabilitation process.
