Netflix has announced the release of a highly anticipated documentary about the iconic punk rock band Green Day, slated for March 2025. The film, titled Beyond the Boulevard, will explore the band’s nearly four-decade journey, from their formation in the East Bay punk scene to becoming one of the most influential music groups in the world. Featuring exclusive interviews, behind-the-scenes footage, and never-before-seen archival material, the documentary promises an intimate look at the highs and lows of Green Day’s career, including the making of their seminal albums like Dookie and American Idiot.

 

The documentary will also delve into the band members’ personal lives and the cultural impact of their music. With interviews from Billie Joe Armstrong, Mike Dirnt, and TrĂ© Cool, as well as collaborators, producers, and fellow musicians, viewers will get an in-depth look at the creative processes and challenges that shaped Green Day’s distinct sound and rebellious ethos.
