Deion Sanders admits Shilo Sanders performance in the last game to Kansas State was horrible which resulted to…

Colorado defensive back Shilo Sanders returned to action on Saturday after sitting out three games with an arm injury that necessitated surgery. Deion Sanders, the head coach of the Buffaloes and the father of Shilo, assessed his son’s comeback effort during Colorado’s 31-28 loss to Kansas State.

Sanders remarked, “I thought he played horrible.” I believed him to be rusty. I believed he was unsteady on his feet. I didn’t think he was losing it. He was attempting to make the play, but it’s difficult to tackle a guy one-on-one in the open field with that kind of back. However, he will do better. I am aware of his potential.

DJ Giddens, the running back for Kansas State, repeatedly gave Shilo Sanders a shake in the open field throughout the evening. During a play close to the line of scrimmage, Sanders made an attempt to tackle Giddens squarely but was forced to the ground as Giddens slid by.

Worse, when Sanders was able to get ahold of a Wildcat, he struggled to take them down. On numerous occasions, Kansas State players broke Sanders’ tackle attempts for extra yards.

Sanders finished the game with seven tackles, the fourth-most on the squad, despite his several errors. All things considered, neither Sanders nor his teammates defensive backs put up a particularly strong performance.

Avery Johnson of Kansas State, the quarterback, completed 15 of his 23 throws for 224 yards and two touchdowns against one interception in the Big 12 game. Most notably, with just over two minutes remaining in the game, Johnson found Jayce Brown for a 50-yard touchdown pass to grab a 31-28 lead.

Colorado did not reply. The Sanders family ultimately had a frustrating evening.

“When you lose, you may think, ‘Dang, we should have won that.'” “We ought to have had that,” stated Deion Sanders. That was one of those games tonight, and we felt like we let it go away. Additionally, since we had multiple chances to win the game, we need to do a better job of seizing them.
