AN FRANCISCO, CA — Legendary KNBR radio duo Mike Krukow and Duane Kuiper, affectionately known as “Kruk and Kuip,” have been nominated for one of the broadcasting industry’s most prestigious honors. The pair, who have been the voices of the San Francisco Giants for over two decades, are being recognized for their outstanding contribution to sports media, particularly for their long-lasting chemistry and unique storytelling style that has captivated baseball fans.

Known for their insightful commentary, sharp wit, and genuine camaraderie, Krukow and Kuiper have become synonymous with Giants baseball, blending in-depth analysis with a lighthearted touch. Their nomination comes as a testament to their enduring influence in sports broadcasting, continuing to draw praise both locally and nationally.

“I’m deeply honored,” said Krukow, who has overcome personal health challenges in recent years while maintaining his role in the booth. Kuiper echoed the sentiment, adding, “It’s a privilege to be recognized, but the real joy comes from doing what we love alongside Giants fans every season.”

The award ceremony, set to take place later this year, will celebrate the excellence and dedication that “Kruk and Kuip” have brought to radio broadcasting. Whether they win or not, the Giants’ dynamic duo remains a fixture in the hearts of baseball enthusiasts across the country.
