BREAKING NEWS: NFL Gives Reason Why They Slaps San Francisco 49ers With Massive 6-Figure Fine

Thursday Night Football saw the San Francisco 49ers defeat the Seattle Seahawks 36-24 in a convincing victory. They barely beat the Seahawks to take the top spot in the division after defeating their NFC West opponent.

On October 11, 49ers quarterback Brock Purdy, who was sacked zero times for the first time this season, completed 18 of 28 passes for 255 yards and three touchdowns at Lumen Field against the Seahawks.

The team needed this comeback win after their heartbreaking Week 5 loss to the Arizona Cardinals. Things became heated in the third quarter of the 49ers’ 24-23 loss to the Philadelphia 76ers in front of their home fans at Levi’s Stadium on October 6.

This turned out to be expensive for the team. After suffering an Achilles injury, Niners linebacker Dre Greenlaw is still sidelined. He was involved in a physical altercation between Cardinals tight end Trey McBride and cornerback Charvarius Ward.

After Ward and McBride’s battle continued onto the sideline, Greenlaw got up and pushed the tight end away.

“The NFL fined the 49ers organization $100,000 and LB Dre Greenlaw $14,069 for an incident last week in which Greenlaw – who is on the PUP list – shoved Cardinals TE Trey McBride,” NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero said on October 12.

Additionally, McBride paid a $9,545 punishment for his unsportsmanlike behavior. For wearing a facemask in the same sequence, Ward was fined $11,255.

The NFL is taking harsh measures against staff workers and idle players during games. After an incident in Week 1, the league fined the Kansas City Chiefs $100,000, and the Los Angeles Rams were forced to pay after their Week 3 game against San Francisco.

During Los Angeles’ 27-24 comeback win over the 49ers, Rams cornerback Derion Kendrick, who’s on injured reserve, got into it with running back Brandon Aiyuk on the sidelines.
