After this week’s presidential debate, pop sensation Taylor Swift endorsed Kamala Harris’s campaign, saying she was “very proud to have her support.”
Harris stated, “She’s an incredible artist,” in a Wired video. I genuinely admire her for having the guts to speak up for what she thinks is right throughout her career.
“But we were on different sides at the Super Bowl last year,” Harris continued. I support the 49ers. Who, though, is upset with someone for supporting their team? In February, the Kansas City Chiefs defeated the San Francisco 49th 25–22.
Harris called the debate “quite enjoyable,” and recent polls show that she may have gotten a bounce in which she has pulled slightly ahead in key swing states.
Swift endorsed Harris in an Instagram post, writing to her 284 million followers that she was backing Harris “because she fights for the rights and causes I believe need a warrior to champion them.
I think she is a steady-handed, gifted leader and I believe we can accomplish so much more in this country if we are led by calm and not chaos.”
Harris participated in a Wired interview in which she answered “the web’s most searched questions.”
